Debbie Rubin

Debbie Rubin walked into Scripps Ranch Recreation Center knowing nothing about pickleball and was immediately intimidated by the competition. After giving herself a serious pep talk, she stepped onto the court, discovered a welcoming community, and never stopped coming back. Warm, generous, and always ready for fun, Debbie is the other half of the “Banger Sisters,” even though she still insists they are trying to develop a soft game. Her friendship with Susan has given her strength, laughter, and countless memories. Debbie believes the pickleball community changed her life in the best possible way by giving her friendships that extend far beyond the court.
