Robb “Slamboa” Gamboa

Robb Gamboa, better known as “Slamboa,” is one of the original members of the Fairbrook crew and the unofficial godfather of the Scripps Ranch Rec Center. With a background in tennis, Robb became one of Sam’s earliest pickleball mentors, introducing him to drilling, competitive play, and the mysterious third-shot drop. A quiet assassin with a sharp sense of humor, Robb says pickleball rejuvenated his life by getting him out of his comfort zone, back into exercise, and surrounded by friends who spend as much time laughing as they do playing.
