15 GOING ON 5.0 ππ
What were YOU doing at 15?
Vincent Ho is out here competing with grown-ass adults, playing high-level pickleball, earning a spot as a Selkirk Junior Pro, and chasing some seriously big goals.
Mouthpiece Sam welcomes Vincent into the 44X20 studio with Dyl Pickle in the co-host chair for a conversation about what itβs really like being 15 and competing in a pickleball world filled with UNCs. ππ
They get into pressure, competition, paddles, tournaments, MY CREW VS YOUR CREW, Vincentβs future in the game and his unusual ability to keep his mind completely EMPTY when he plays. Something Sam has apparently been trying to accomplish for about 30 years. π
And then Vincentβs mom joins the show to give us a completely different perspective on the 15-year-old emerging pro and the journey happening behind the scenes. β€οΈ
At some point, you stop seeing the 15-year-old and just start seeing the player.

Sam Orlansky: What up, what up, what up, pickle heads All right, all right, all right. Welcome back to the baseline studio in 44x20. It's time to step between the lines and let's grab one of our mouthpieces. I got Dill Pickle back in the building today. Here we go. And today I haven't just given him a microphone. I've actually given him real co-host style responsibilities. Dill, welcome to the co-host chair. Hey, thanks for having me, Sam. I'm stoked to be the co-host this time. So today's guest got me thinking about what it was like to be 15. Tell me like in 30 seconds for you, what was it like to be 15? What did you care about? man, I mean, being 15, I was in middle school. I just loved sports, man. I love sports a lot. That's what it was like for you? Mm-hmm. Well, I can tell you this. for me, I certainly did not imagine a 20-year career in beer. I didn't imagine coming up with trading drinks for dinks, and I never would have pictured. Eventually sitting in a studio wearing a mouthpiece and interviewing pickleball players. When I was 15, I was already done with sports. I got hit in the back with a baseball and I was just like, I'm done. I was deep into my friends, I was deep into my youth group. I'm still friends with a lot of these guys, and I'm gonna shout a couple of them out right now because I know they're listening just because they like me, not because they care about pickleball. I wanna shout out Bradley Greenstein. I want to shout out Mike Weiner. I want to shout out Lauren Rothman, Gabe Rothman, Todd Allen, I want to shout out Roy Kaufman. these are all friends that I had when I was 15, and these are all friends that I have now. So I'm I I'm pretty lucky. when I was 15. All I remember that was the summer of love. That was the summer that I kissed five girls. Wow, look at you go, Sam. Yeah, I was shaving every day. I was already in this body. but I I was a little awkward and I certainly w didn't have any of the swag that I have right now. all right, Dill. Well, our guest today, he's a 15-year-old right now. And this kid, he's not an average 15-year-old. He's a Selkirk sponsored junior pro. And he reached out to me about coming on the show. I met this kid at the hub. We got to talking. We played together. And his maturity is what stood out to me. And I mentioned him on the last episode. And then we started playing. And somehow I felt like the youngster. I felt comfortable. I felt comfortable being coached. I felt comfortable when I made mistakes. And, you know, I hope I can make him feel comfortable now. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm very excited to w welcome my new friend to the show, Mr. Vincent. Ho! What's up everybody? This is what they call EDM he says. Dude, it's a really good intro. I like it. All right, Vince. Yes. I'm about three times your age. My daughter's your age, but on the court, you and I can be partners. When we played together, did our age difference ever cross your mind? No, never. Because I've played with people maybe like I think I played someone with like eighty years old. Never bothered me once. But do you notice it or I mean sometimes I do notice it and then sometimes I wouldn't. I'll tell you that I certainly notice it. Really? Well, when I watch you move, I think about the things that I I possibly would have been able to do at 15 that I can't do now. what was your first impressions of me? Be honest. Just you're like a great, like friendly guy, you know. There's like no beef with anybody. Like you you walk on the court and then you're just like a very nice person who just makes new friends with everybody, you know? I'd say for the most part, you're right. I got a little bit of beef out there. but you know, everybody has their opposites in nature, I suppose. Yeah. So we played together. And then all of a sudden I planned this event called My Crew versus Your Crew. That's right. And lo and behold, look who's on the other side of the net Mr. Vincent Ho. One week after I played you, I think Merv did that strategically. Let's talk about that. you played really, really, really well that night. at first, people notice your age, but after a while, I wasn't thinking about. how old you were or how young you were. I was thinking about how we were gonna win points against you. and if you did notice, I strategically did not stack myself against you. Great idea. Great idea. take me inside the night. What was it like competing against grown adults? I mean grown adults with new people, it's it's a new thing for me, you know, because I'd be playing with like the same people all the time. But playing with new people is like a new and great thing that I get to discover where maybe I did get I did get beaten up pretty badly against what when I played with Minh Yeah, but you held your own. I you I I you didn't get pickled, you weren't making amateur out amateur errors. you were going against grown men that are four oh's and four fives, and I'm talking about in age, not in duper. Well, I mean, when I was at the hub watching you play for the first time, I was like I was warming up with you. And I was like, wow, like this kid's putting a lot of pressure on me. how are you so patient and how do you beat these four four fives in north versus south? See, at first like I was thinking about going like just full on aggressive, like no patience, no nothing. But I saw I saw s Sam's team they're just straight ballers, man. So I had to I had to slow it down, just w look for the weakness and then I gotta pressure that. That's about it. You went against my toughest guys too. I know. There wasn't a lot of weakness. Crazy man. So like when you when you step on the stage there, because it did feel like a stage, right? For me, it felt like the first time I was ever on a stage. Right. I I certainly felt a little bit of pressure to prove myself, especially considering all the trash talk I'd been doing. What about you? I think I would get nervous generally 'cause the as the pressure of like just like being the youngest one, they would explain to be like I don't know I don't know how to say this, but like they may be like the more like quick and aggressive kind of player, but I just I would be the slowest I'd be the slowest, more patient player on my team before everybody else. So like let me ask you something else. Like in in terms of pressure, did the pressure feel any different? Then compared to like stepping on the stage with people your own demographic. I feel like with pressure, I do better, to be honest. Straight baller. Pressure makes diamonds, baby. All right, here we go. All right, so important journalistic question. So were you hoping to bag Sam? yeah. If I got put against him, I was hoping just to bag him. No, we're not talking about that. We're talking about the super dream breaker. I was actually really hope. I was hoping to go for like Dylan's overhead against Merv I was hoping to do that just right at you. Why? Straight at the chest, bro. Hold on. Why? Because I'm the opposition. Hey, see, everybody likes to bag Sam. Should I give him a chance to earn body bags in the studio? Different episode. Different episode. we had a lot of fun that night, but there was a belt online and your crew didn't take it home. How how disappointed were you and what did you learn from the experience overall? I was really disappointed. The ballot's pretty sick, you know. But you know, we gotta we gotta go past it, you know. There's no more going back. And then it's just about whoa, I'll I can do it next time, you know what? So you would say that you handle not winning gracefully? Yeah. Surprisingly, I'm really competitive with that stuff. Did you know how I did you notice how I said not winning? Just trying to change my verbiage a little bit around that kind of stuff. speaking of my crew versus your crew, I just got another idea for a my crew versus your crew, like a generational, like teens versus oldies. I like that. I really like that. Or maybe a mix or maybe a mixed team. Like I like that. A mixed team, like four oldies and four. I think a mixed crew would be pretty fun. That'd be hard to put you all. That would be hard for me to put together. So if that's something you want to do, we'll talk about this after the pod. Yeah. I'd be down. Yeah, yeah. That that just popped into my head right now. All these great ideas. so Vincent, what was your favorite moment of the 44X20 North versus South? it was definitely the last game where me and Tam were down six to ten and then we had to we came back to win it twelve ten. You did. That's probably one of the one of the best moments I've ever had in pickleball.
44X20 MY CREW vs YOUR CREW pt1: Let's go do math. Let's go do math. Let's go! Hey, good job, good job. Hey, call, call, good job, bro. Good job, bro. Nice shot, John. Good job. Alright, we're we're bringing it over.
Sam Orlansky: Too bad too bad you couldn't have won it fifteen ten. Yeah. The North won by two points. Yeah. And then also what would you do differently in a rematch if you got the chance? If it's against the same lineup, I'm just going straight up like full on ripping aggressive, man. Yeah, why? because when I played with like men, like we went aggressive and they they were just they couldn't handle it, you know. Yeah, I didn't want to face men either. Yeah. Everybody I think everybody on the other side had all taken medals from me. Chris and Tam have taken medals from me. Min has taken medals from me. and you you haven't. Not yet. Not yet. Yeah. Hopefully never. I'm trying not to face any kids in tournaments. So Vincent, did you have fun? Didn't I had a I had a great time. It was just straight up like good vibes and nothing bad, you know. And then would you do it again? Yeah, that's of course. Yes, I would do it again for sure. Get your crew together. My crew versus your crew. You want to face off against the north? Step between the lines. Put your crew together. We'll make it happen. I got you, bro. Okay. So Vince, let's talk about people. Let's talk about the people that introduced you to pickable and let's talk about why you keep coming back. it was first it was my dad who took me out to the courts. You know, we we're just doing it for fun. And so we met Doe. Shout out to Doe. Doe fam, right? Yeah. Shout out Doe. Shout out Doe. He whooped me and my daddy eleven zero like two times, I think. And then And I just kept on playing with him and then he decided to start coaching me and then help me drill and get better. And then I ended up here now, you know. So you've been doing this the whole way. So you actually respect your elders. Yeah, for sure. but but you maybe you have an older soul or maybe you're just more comfortable. I'm pretty comfortable with like whoever I'm playing with, you know. If I lose though, I'd be I'd be really mad, but I want to get my get back like right away. Like at an instant I want to play again, I just get a good beating on them. Yeah, but my point is is that like you like I think for you to be able to compete at your skill level, you have to be comfortable playing grounds. That's true, yeah. Hey, this is kind of a side question. It's not really on my list. have like Tell me about the worst bag you've done on someone over 50. Over 50? $h.t I think it no, it was this overhead shake that I hit on a lady and I hit her straight into the chest on game point. And approximate age? I think maybe fifty-five, sixty. Everything's old to you, huh? Yeah. Jesus. All right. Let's bring in mom. Mom, you ready? What for what? You ready? If you don't like anything, if you love if you don't like what you say, then I'll just delete it. Okay. You gotta speak close speak close. Sit back. Sit back. All right. Next, I'm gonna bring the most important. Have created you, the person who cares about you the most and the person who loves you the most, I'm assuming. I want to introduce two Vincent's mom. So you've watched him go from discovering a game to competing and having a sponsor behind him. What what has pickleball brought out in Vincent that you love? I don't know about a lot about Vicaball, you know. I just drop him and then pick him up and and then he need me anything I won't support to him. But can you tell that it makes him happy? Yeah, of course I'm really happy. He the younger the first time I've been there I saw he made the youngest on the team. That's why I subri. And then I want to let's say how Vincent too sm small and then then everybody in there, you know. Yeah, because I mean well when I was 15 years old, I I I didn't have anything that I cared about as much as Vince cares about pickleball, it looks like. the the things that I cared about were my friends. Girls. Which I'm assuming, you know, you care about that stuff. Maybe, maybe not yet. Maybe pickleball's getting in the way, like it is for some of my friends. as a dad, this parse this part interests me. my daughter is his age, and I'm thinking about what it means for a kid to find their place. Find their place where they're welcomed and where they're wanted, right? What's it been like watching Vince build friendships with players from so many different ages? That's okay. What's it like? it's up to him. For me, very easy. And then how about him? He if he won. play with the old or young except to him he played, not my play, you know. Well let me ask you this. If you were fifteen years old, huh, would you feel comfortable going out and playing pickleball with people the same age. Three my age? No. I think the same age with him if he's fifteen, he should be fifteen and sixteen, something like that, you know, the same ad So do you think he's brave? I don't know. I do. Okay. I do, you know why? Why? Because I told everybody on my team to take him out. I was mad. I was mad that Merv asked him to be on his team. And I told everybody on my team, like, go for the chest. And I'll tell you why. Cause I'm just learning how to compete. Like I never did anything competitive when I was younger. This is the first time in my life competing. And so at 46 years old, I often find myself in tournaments against young people. Right. You as well, right? Mm-hmm. How much do we like being bagged by somebody who's 15? Not I don't like it. I like it way less. Yeah. It doesn't feel great. yeah. It doesn't feel great. It it it hurts more. So before we let you go, what's something that you do that makes everything possible for Vince? You know, only I go to drop him in the bigger ball play and then I pick up him. He only he said, Mom, thank you for having me, and then pick me up and then drop me over here. I love you, mom, something like that. And you're proud of him, right? Uh-huh. Even I was proud of him on my crew versus your crew and I met him Like a week before he did so well. I met him that night. I was definitely proud of him. We were all proud of you. Vince, is there anything that you want to say to your mom about what her support means to you? Go ahead. I mean, your support helps me really well, Mom. Hold on, put the put the mic next to your mouth. yeah. Your support helps me really well, mom. I mean, I want to be able to make it this far. I mean, without your help and your support with helping me get all these gear and everything to help me improve my skills. Okay. Thank you. I love you. yeah. That was the perfect time to use that. I know. I know. You're off the hook. You're good. Dylan, it's time for takeoff. Wait. How do people dance to this music? Show me. No idea. Is that how they do it? All right. All right. So I got a question for Vincent here. So how did your relationship with Selkirk happen? first it was when I got my first ever like Selkirk fattle. I I loved it a lot and then for some reason my dad he went out full on crazy and he bought me all the Silkirk gear like way before. He bought me like backpacks, he bought me short shorts and shoes and everything. And then I won my first four or five tournament with Doe. They decided to sign me up for the the Selkirk Junior Pro program. I How long ago was this? Sometime in August, September. No, August. How many have you been playing? A year like last year in March. Dale. Did you hear that? Last year in March. Wow. That's pretty amazing. It's amaz it's amazing and frustrating, right? How quick how quickly they ascend. I mean, I wish I knew all this stuff when I was fifteen. I wish that I got a sponsor and started competing in tournaments. Yeah. carry on. Okay. So also I wanted to ask you, Vincent, what Solkirk paddle are you currently playing with right now? my single's paddle is the Suckirk Boomstick and then my doubles paddle is the Suckirg Omni. Ooh, what do you think about the Omni? Because I've personally haven't played with it yet, but I've heard it's a really great paddle. It it is a great paddle. It's it's like it's just a boomstick, but it's a more controlled and like more controlled aspect with decent amount of power. That's good enough for me. Okay. so when you said would you say boomstick for singles and why is that? 'Cause the boomstick is more like a poppy and more power paddle that I'm able to use to get more power and finishing shots in singles. You playing a lot of singles? I I've taken like a big of break from singles. I used to be playing it a lot and then I don't know. Time to schedule that game, baby. man. Like what what makes you pick a paddle like for you? it definitely has to be on a paddle that's easy for me to control and has to have some sort of pop that isn't too much or too little. And then if you have too much pop, then you wouldn't want a super gritty gritty face on it. But I chose the omni just because it's a more controlled for doubles and it's a lot easier to play with. Would you ever play singles with the Omni or no? I think I could do it, yeah. Because it's all about control in singles. Jimmy Jimmy knows. Shots fired @THATBUFFPICKLEBALLGUY Shots fired. He knows a lot about losing to singles. Sorry, Jimmy. man. So I was just gonna ask you about the junior PPA tournaments. Which one has been your favorite? I haven't done any yet. Like I barely just got signed, so I haven't done any yet. Wait, you got signs? Explain that. Like signed by Soker. Did they sign the junior pro? Did they have like a was did they have like a signing day? Was there any like it was just a digital contract that the parent had to sign, but It's like it's not it's not really like a strict requirement, but like they would just in want us to do like a lot of tournaments and boost boost up like the soccer community. When is your next big pickleball event that you're gonna be doing? I think I'm gonna try to do the nationals in November. Ooh at Barnes? Yeah. Really? Yeah. Wait a minute. I have a lot to say on this. So it's October 31st through November 8th. Yeah. did you qualify already? Are you playing doubles? Are you playing singles? Talk to us about it. I'm super interested about this. I haven't qualified yet, but I'm just I'm I'm my goal is to do both doubles and singles. Well, if you need a men's doubles partner, he's right here. I got you. I would love to do it with you. That'd be so fun. And dude, honestly, like I just wanna play half what you're doing because you're playing fantastic. Dude, you're gonna be an unk before you know it. I know. Hey, that's why I'm trying to play with him now, you know, because it'll make me feel like I'm fifteen. I did not expect that happening on this episode that you were gonna become an unk. Well, I mean, come on, man. I mean, it's nationals and I mean it's a big tournament. Like the thing is, is there's refs like who will actually like referee these matches? Like it is intense. I have a question for you. what is competing on a high level shown you about what you need to work on? competing in a high level in like tournaments, I would get Hella pissed. Like I miss a shot, I get so mad. But luckily you deal. Yeah, luckily I'm able to control my anger, you know. But it's also it's also attitude because I'd get I did just get grumpy and everything. But in in tournaments? Yeah. So you're talking about positive mindset? Yes, pretty much. Wait, so like what kind of grumpy are we talking about here? Yeah. Like like how yeah, because I I do get So this is my walk up song, by the way. Because I'm a I'm a big baseball fan, so he put this in for me. But but the thing is is I do get pretty angry in tournaments. Sam knows that's actually how we met was a pickleball tournament. Yeah, he threw an eighty mile an hour fastball across the fucking court just when he was on like six three two or something. Yeah, I it was it was not one of my brightest moments, but you know, I have grown. I would beg to differ. I think it was one of your brightest moments. Well it wasn't bad. It wasn't bad. But I mean, Vincent, I have gotten a lot of like courage since that moment. And like I've been very even keeled now when I play. So like if I make a mistake, I'll just like brush it off and then go to the next one. Exactly. Because it's one point in a tournament like that could change the entire it can change the entire game. It can change the entire match. It can change whether you get a gold medal or a bronze medal or and so or no medal or no medal. And so yes, or no medal, Sam. But what I wanted to ask is like when you're competing in a tournament, like do you ever think about like, like this one shot like could make or break me, or is it just kind of like like what are you thinking about like when you're playing in a giant tournament? Usually I try to keep it empty minded, but if I'm in like big deficit and then like big point down differential, and then sometimes I just go for the most riskiest thing that would never work. And then but pretty much most of the time I would keep my mind empty and I have some questions on that. Sorry to interrupt. No, it's okay. Go for it. Speak on empty-mindedness, because this doesn't translate to me. I just keep my mind blank, just hit my odd normal shots, nothing fit. How you do that? Is there like breathing? Is there like a mantra you say to yourself or you just look Yeah, pretty much so you can so you can walk and you can do that and play pickleball at the same time? Cause if I do that, there goes my game. I can't multitask at all either. So I feel so I I think that's your superpower. R remember that. Yeah. Like r remember that because th that's something that I've been trying to do for the last at least thirty years. And I'm not talking and I'm not talking about on the court. Vincent, what's the next goal for you as a Selkirk emerging pro at fifteen? What's the next goal for you? What do you want to accomplish? PPA? I gotta get I gotta get a PPA medal, man. That's all I need. PPA medal? Yeah. Like or like for singles or doubles. And like who's your dream partner who either on the PPA tour that they're already there or some somebody that you know who would be your dream partner? So if I do somebody I would know, I'd probably do probably my f Doe or my buddy Rudd. Rudd E. Rudd. How old's Rud? Rudd E 16. Dude, I've played against him before in multiple tournaments. He's one of he's family friends with my family. you know this person? Yeah. We should challenge them. We I don't care. That's how I get that's how I lock in. Dude, honestly, I really think that we should do that because Rudd is a very solid player and I know that Vincent's a very, very good player as well. But I mean, dude, if you guys were to play together on a PPA tour, you guys could do damage, man. Especially in juniors. my gosh. You could win a medal right now, dude. I think so. It all depends on your partner. Yeah. I think you guys should do a five yeah. I think you guys should do a five soon. Who are you talking about? About Me me and Vince? No, Rudd. No, no. If Rudd and Vince were to do were to do juniors right now, I think they could get pretty far. Well, I mean, I just wanna say thank you so much for coming on, Vincent. I'm we're we're all super stoked to have you. I know and it's not over. No, it's no it's not over. But I'm just saying, like my first impression of you when we started warming up, I was like like I didn't really know who you were, but now I really know who you are. And man, do I wanna play a money ball tournament with you now? Dude. You're just trying to get you're just trying to get partners. You cannot be using this show just to be all your partner. He's also looking for a mixed partner if anyone knows. I was so ready for that. All right, all right. Here we go, Vince. So outside the game of pickleball, what else do you want people to know about you other that you then you're fifteen years old? What are you into? I'm into a lot of sports. Like I go with my friends, watch a lot of sports together. and we also be playing a lot of sports together too, like waffle ball, football, basketball and everything. yeah. What about other paddle sports? I smoked them, man. You know what? No, but are you playing like are you playing ping pong? Are you have you looked at Pidell yet? Tennis. I would want to try pedell one time. Have you ever played tennis? Yeah, I used to. Okay. I get really I get really twitchy when people tell me that pickleball is their first paddle sport. So jealous. Okay. So how do you fit friends and school and practice and tournaments together? Okay, so friends, I already meet them at school and it's we hang out on the weekends, so that's good. Yeah, but you're at the hub all day on Saturday. There's always Sunday. There's always a Sunday, so. Okay. So you're not there for double days. Yeah. Okay. That's yeah. And then With practice and pickleball and everything, it's usually an after school thing. So right after school, I hit I hit to the courts like right away. Just start hitting. And do you have any friends or people your own age that you're that you're playing with that are at your skill level? Not at my skill level. They're probably below me, but are you bringing any of your friends into the sport? Cause you get bored of old people? I did. I brought in two people. Yeah. Yeah. And like what would you say your friends' skill level is like? Around three five ish? Are you coaching them up? I'm not actually. You're not? Why not? You like beating your friends? Nah. it's just that's only up to them if they want me to coach them, you know? And what about like within the pickleball community? has the community helped you connect with other people your own age? Have you made a lot of friends in in the juniors? Yeah, that's how I meant I met Rud Through just like from Dill's friend and then we we just met each other at Coronado and we played games together. Well, obvious lesson. You are who you surround yourself with. Yeah. Right, Dill? Yeah, exactly. So you know that college pickleball has been on the rise lately. Is that like one of your goals? Like would you want to go plan college if the situation arose? Yeah, for sure. Like what what do you think about college pickleball? Have you watched it all? What do you think? I've seen like they'd be popping they would pop up on my Instagram sometimes and then I would just take a good look at it and then see what happened. Is there like a certain team where you would want to play for? Or school. Or school, yeah. I would As much as I was would like to, I would do like a school in Florida, but for now I would want to do SDSU for now. All right. San Diego State. If you're listening, tune in. Yeah, they have a really good pickleball team. They have a really good pickleball team. And they have some we have somebody here for what is it, class of 2029 or something. But they could be listening right now. And I heard there there's this thing. I want first of all Buck bits. I want to play for SDSD. Time to wind back that clock, baby. I would love that. It'd be so awesome, man. What an incredible opportunity. You know what I mean? Yeah. But that's the thing. Like, the sky's the limit for this guy because he's only 15. And like thinking about it now, like there's a lot of people who play in college now. Like, dude, he could He could be on team number one. Well, the other thing that you don't you don't realize until you you get older, like you are like I said, you are who you surround yourself with. Like, I mean, if you're in college and you're playing pickleball all the time, you're surrounded by players, right? You're surrounded by people who who who care about their body, who care about health as wealth. And what you're not doing, well, I'm assuming you're you're probably learning a little bit less drinking, less partying. None of those, none of those. Well, we'll see. You're still young. Because I did a lot, a lot, a lot. Talk to us in a few years, man. I mean, that's that's what I cared about. you know, and so to go from drinks to dinks. Well, just to be able to to be able to start to start with your health, right? and to be able to start from your launch launch pad, the future's super bright. I'm super jealous. I am too, a little bit. All right, young boy. Yes. Talk to me. I told you that I have an almost sixteen year old as well. Yeah. Right? I'm a parent. I don't get it. What do parents not understand about being fifteen in two thousand twenty-six? I think parents still see kids who are fifteen like just they still see them as like an eight year old, you know, like still like just a young, like baby, you know. But you know, as fifteen, like I feel like we've been more mature and then like we've been more like less childlike, you know. For all fifteen year year olds or you? All fifteen year olds for sure. You feel that way for your demographic as well. Mm-hmm. Yes. Yeah. I I've I've noticed a lot of changes in my own child. and and I'll tell you, from a parent standpoint, it's really difficult 'cause we still hear the shadows, the pitter patters of small footsteps behind us, and then we turn around. in our child grown. And it happens in the blink of an eye. Like it goes quick. I sound like an unk. All right. Anything you wanted to ask? I'm just really happy to be across the the set from an emerging pro. You know, somebody who's very good at pickable. And I mean, I just I'm just like so lucky, you know. Appreciate you. Yeah, for me, I feel the same way, honestly. I do see that you're 15 years old. I do see your future in front of you, but I also see a player. I see a player that I respect from the moment I stepped on the core with you. Right. And and it's it's the intangibles actually that made that experience so good for me. you welcomed me with maturity like a grown-up. you treated me. You treated me like a partner. You calmed me down. I don't know if you noticed that. I was being calmed down by a fifteen year old on the court and it and it actually felt good. And so I'm really thankful for you for being a man and stepping up and stepping between the lines and letting your voice be heard. because I heard you and I brought you in. So I'm real proud of you. Thank you for being here. Yeah. Thank you. Thanks for coming, man. All right. So Vincent, we started we started by talking about what Dylan I were like at fifteen. you've got things to accomplish, and I'm excited to see where you're gonna take it. But there's something I want to ask beyond rankings, beyond sponsors and tournaments. When you're my age, what do you hope you still have from the person that you are today? I st I hope I still have the body to be a very active and Hopefully not ruin my whole body from alcohol and drugs and stuff. Well, you have control over that. Yeah. Don't give in. Well, you know, we all make choices in life. Some people make good ones, some people make bad ones, but we learn from all the ones that we make. All right. I'm still finding things I love doing. I'm still making friends. I'm still learning how to compete. I'm still getting excited about going out to play. And this game lets me share it with somebody who's 15 years old. we don't have to be this at the same stage of life to enjoy a piece of it together. We really don't. I hope for you that you that your spirit stays forever young like mine. and that you take advantage of everything's in front of you. Vincent, thank you for reaching out. Thank you for coming on.
